The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Dhaliara works in accordance with the objectives of the Government of India and the co-scholastic guidelines followed under the CBSE framework to promote social responsibility, leadership and community engagement among students.
Inspired by the NSS motto “Not Me, But You”, the unit encourages students to place the needs of the community above personal interests and to develop a strong spirit of selfless service.
The NSS unit provides students with opportunities to participate in various community service activities such as cleanliness drives, plantation programmes, health and hygiene awareness campaigns, road safety awareness and social outreach initiatives.
Through regular activities and special camps, students develop discipline, teamwork, empathy and a sense of civic responsibility. The programme also helps learners understand social issues and actively contribute to the welfare of society.
